You can change your registered email address and password yourself from LINE versions 6.9.0 and later.
If you're using a version of LINE earlier than 6.9.0, you'll have to apply to cancel your email address.
To cancel your registered email address:
We will cancel the email address and password registered to your account. Please note that we will only cancel your email address and password. Things such as your friends, chat history, and purchase history will not be deleted.
To register an email address and password after your previous one is canceled:
You will have to register a new email address and password yourself after we cancel your email address.
If you are unable to access the relevant LINE account, you will not be able to register an email address or password after we cancel your previous email address. In this case, you will not be able to transfer your LINE account using an email address and password. If you have plans to change your device, please keep this in mind.
Note: You can only register an email address or password from the smartphone version of LINE. You cannot register an email address from the PC version.
To apply to remove your registered email address:
Be sure that the owner of the LINE account in question contacts us with the following steps from the account with the registered email address they want to cancel. If you are unable to access the relevant LINE account, you will not be able to apply to cancel your registered email address.
1. Start LINE and tap More > Settings > Help.
2. Tap Check/change registered information > Email address & password.
3. Tap I can't use my registered email address and I forgot my password under "Check your email address and password."
4. Tap Apply to cancel registered email address.
5. Answer the questions and tap SEND.
We will require some time to confirm all details to cancel your email address. Once the cancellation has been completed, we will contact you at the email address indicated in the Reply Email field on your contact form.
