The phone number, name, profile picture and ID used for LINE is what is known as the Account. It is designed so if the account is deleted, the above mentioned information will also be deleted.
An ID identifies a user. At the time of registration the ID is not set. The user must set this themselves. The LINE ID can be set as follows.
Tap "..." > Profile > User ID
A LINE ID cannot be changed, once set.
Once a LINE ID is set, you can add friends by sharing your ID, even if a user does not know your phone number. If you do not want other user to be able to search for your ID, you can uncheck the Allow Others to Add by ID setting as follows.
Tap "..." > Friends > uncheck Allow Others to Add
Please do not share your ID on the internet for match-making purposes, as this is against our Terms of Service.
The registered phone number on the app cannot be changed. If you would like to change the registered phone number, you need to uninstall LINE Lite, reinstall the app, and go through the verification process. Please note, uninstalling the app will delete all of your chat history.
After reinstalling LINE Lite, tap "Log in" to carry over your account.

Deleting Your Account
Deleting the app will not delete your account. Please delete your account within the app.
To delete your account:
1. Tap "…" > Accounts > tap "Delete My Account" at the bottom of the screen
2. Read the warning asking for confirmation and tap OK
If you delete your account, your purchased stickers and Coins, the registered phone number, friends and groups lists and other data will be deleted. Your previous account data cannot be recovered or carried over, even if you reinstall LINE after deleting your account.
Email Address and Password
To change your email address, follow the steps below:
1. Tap "..."
2. Tap Accounts
3. Tap Email Account Registration
4. Tap Change your registered email address
5. Enter your new email address and password, then tap OK
If you are unable to register your email address and password, there may be a space included in the information you entered. Depending on the device, a space may be automatically included. Please check that there are no extra spaces entered.
To set your LINE ID
1. Tap "..."
2. Tap Profile
3. Tap User ID
4. Enter the ID you wish to register and tap Check.
5. If you see the message "This ID can be used" tap OK.
Please note that once your LINE ID is set, it cannot be changed.
At step 4, if the message "This user ID is unavailable" is displayed, it means that the ID is already taken by another user. Please register a different LINE ID.
As stated in our Terms or Service, we do not allow the sharing or exchanging of IDs on the internet for match-making purposes. Please refrain from such actions.
