Business ID is a common verification system that is used to log in to LY Corporation's management services for businesses and developers. You can log in to Business ID with your LINE account or with a business account (using just your email address).

Also, the Business ID shows up on your profile page as a unique half-width alphanumeric identifier.

2-step verification prevents unauthorized logins to your Business ID by requiring additional verification via email or an authenticator app, in addition to entering your email address and password. Using 2-step verification when logging in with your business account can strengthen its security.

    To turn on 2-step verification:
Check the 2-step verification section on your Business ID profile page.

    • If the status is turned on, 2-step verification is enabled.
    • If the status is turned off, 2-step verification is not enabled.

By selecting the pencil icon under the 2-step verification section, you'll be redirected to a page to set it up.

    2-step verification options:
You can choose one of the following two verification options when logging in with 2-step verification, based on your usage environment or other circumstances.

    • Email verification
    • Authenticator app

    Email verification:
By enabling Email verification, you'll be asked to enter a login code sent to your registered email address when logging in.

    Authenticator app:
By enabling Authenticator app, you'll be asked to enter the verification code displayed on the authenticator app when logging in. To use this option, you need to set up the authenticator app in advance.

If you are unable to log in with 2-step verification due to situations such as your device being lost or broken, you can log in using a backup code or your phone number. Please download the provided backup codes and store them in a safe location.

Login history is a feature that shows information, such as the date and location of logins to your Business ID. It shows the most recent 30 logins from the past three months of your account's successful login history from October 30, 2024.

You can check your login history from your profile page after logging in to your Business ID. For an explanation of the items shown in your login history, see the following information.

    Date
The date and time you logged in will be shown in accordance with the time zone you set.

    Location
The country you logged in from will be identified and have its name shown.
Note: The country may be shown as "Unknown" or be incorrectly identified.

    Device
The type of device you logged in with will be shown in the "OS/device/browser" format (e.g. Windows/PC/Google Chrome, iOS/Smartphone/Safari). The device type will show up as "Unknown" if it cannot be identified.

    Authentication method
Depending on your login method, you'll see one of the following messages.

    • Log in with LINE account
You'll see this message if you logged in with your LINE account.

    IP address
The IP address (global IP address) of the device you used when you logged in will be shown. IP addresses are identification numbers assigned to PCs and other devices that connect to the internet. For information about the IP address shown, please contact your internet service provider. If you're using the internal network of an organization (e.g. company, school), please contact the network administrator.
    Note:
    - Login history from PCs is sometimes shown with the PC's own IP address, but more often it shows the IP address of the server owned by the internet service provider or the company.
    - The IP address shown may change depending on your internet/mobile service provider or your organization's internal network environment.

If you see an unfamiliar login history, or receive a login notification but don't remember logging in, it's possible that a third party logged into your Business ID without authorization. Please check the following information for actions to take.
Note: The following information is for users who have registered an email address to their Business ID.

If you log into your Business ID using only your LINE account, refer to the following Help article.

If you can't log in to your Business ID:
Please reset your password by selecting Reset password from the login page. An email with the subject "Resetting your Business ID password" will be sent to the email address you entered. Please proceed to the password reset screen and set a new password.

If you still can't log into your Business ID after trying the above method, please contact the services you're using directly.
    warning icon  Be advised
    - Make sure to set a secure password when changing or resetting it. Avoid passwords that you're using on other websites or strings of characters that are easy for others to guess (e.g. email address, name, date of birth).
    - As an extra layer of security, we recommend taking the following actions.
    • Turn on 2-step verification
You can strengthen the security of your account by enabling 2-step verification. If the status for 2-step verification is turned off on the profile page of your Business ID, select the pencil icon, then turn on either Email verification or Authenticator app on the 2-step verification settings page. For more details about 2-step verification, see the following Help article.

    About 2-step verification

    • Change your email address
If you have an email address that you don't use (or rarely use) for other companies' services, we recommend changing the email address registered to your Business ID to that one. You can change your email address on the profile page of your Business ID.
