If you have a physical LINE Pay card, you can activate it in LINE Pay. After it's been activated, you can start using your card with money you've added to your LINE Pay balance.
If you already have a virtual card, you will be restricted from using it to make payments online until you have activated your LINE Pay card.
To have the restriction temporarily removed, tap the card number at the top of the LINE Pay main menu and switch For Online Use ON. This will remove the restriction for one hour, after which it will automatically be applied again.
Note: If you have not set a LINE Pay passcode, you will need to set one.
1. From the LINE Pay main menu, tap Activate LINE Pay Card.
2. Enter the last three digits of the お客様番号 (customer number) on the back of your LINE Pay card.
If you applied for your card in or before November 2018, the steps included with the card will say to enter the 3-digit number on the back of the card; however, please disregard these instructions and follow the onscreen guidance.
