If you want to delete your LINE Pay card (JCB brand), go to the LINE Pay main menu and tap Settings > Prepaid card > your LINE Pay card > Delete card.
Note: Deleting your LINE Pay card does not delete your LINE Pay balance or LINE Pay Light balance.

The LINE Pay card (JCB brand) service ended on October 31, 2023, regardless of the expiration date on the front of your card. Please dispose of your card by cutting it up with scissors.

If you were using your LINE Pay card (JCB brand) to make any of the payments listed below, make sure to update your payment method with the merchant as soon as possible. Otherwise, your payment will not be completed, and you may no longer be able to use the relevant service or make your purchase.

• Paid monthly services, annual membership fees, etc.
• Reserved items that haven't been shipped
• Ticket purchases
• Online or other purchases for which you've pre-registered your card as the payment method

If your card was registered to Google Pay (QUICPay+), you won't be able to continue using it. Please follow the steps in the following Help article.

How to use LINE Pay card

The LINE Pay card (JCB brand) service ended on October 31, 2023, regardless of the expiration date on the front of your card.

If you were unable to make a payment, your payment attempt will appear in your Notifications (the bell icon at the top of the LINE Pay main menu).
Note: In some cases, the merchant's name and the reason why you couldn't make the payment will also appear.

If you don't see a payment attempt in your Notifications, it means that your card cannot be used at the merchant.

You may also receive a notification from the LINE Wallet (LINEウォレット) official account, so make sure to check your messages.

You cannot make payments after the end of the service, so please consider another payment method if you weren't able to make a payment.

It takes approximately two weeks for the amount from a canceled payment to be refunded to your LINE Pay balance.

Also, we cannot issue a refund until the cancelation has been processed by the merchant. If you used an online service, check the status of the payment cancelation in the service's purchase history.

Transactions that don't have a "Transaction complete" date in their payment details on LINE Pay will automatically be refunded after 60 days.

Note: To check your payment details, go to the LINE Pay main menu and tap Payment history.

If the original amount for a deposit/purchase doesn't match the amount you're actually charged for once the payment has been finalized, your LINE Pay balance may have been charged twice. In this case, the duplicate amount will automatically be refunded to your LINE Pay balance after 60 days have passed from the purchase date.

Some examples of payment types this may occur with are:

• Hotel deposits

• Reserved items that haven't been shipped

• Air tickets

• Ticket lotteries

• Transactions with adjusted amounts (the amount from before the adjustment is refunded at a later date)

If your LINE Pay balance was charged twice, contact Customer Care.

To check your history, go to the LINE Pay main menu and tap History.

After using your card, you'll see "LINE Pay Card" under the merchant field until the payment confirmation is finalized. At that time, the name of the store where you used your LINE Pay card will appear.

Note:

- It can take up to two months for some payment confirmations to be finalized.

- Some merchant names appear immediately after you make a purchase.

With some merchants, certain payments are processed at a later date after they are made, and not at the time you use your card.

If you sign up as a member at some merchants, they will check the validity of your card by temporarily withdrawing money from your account. This amount will be refunded to your LINE Pay balance within 60 days.

Examples of merchants that do this:

Google Play, Google Checkout, etc.

Note: Other merchants in addition to the ones listed above may make temporary withdrawals from your balance.

Also, if there is a difference between the amount you are charged when you use your card and the amount finalized by the merchant, your account balance may be adjusted at a later date.

With some merchants, certain payments are processed at a later date after they are made, and not at the time you use your card. Such payment types include:

• iTunes Store and Amazon payments

• Monthly service fees (including automatic billing after a free trial ends)

• Small payments to check the validity of your card when signing up for a service

• Reservations for items that are not yet in stock

• Adjustments for duplicate refunds

• Split shipping fees for ordered items

You can check your payment details by going to Payment history from the LINE Pay main menu.

Note: Transactions that don't have a "Transaction complete" date in their payment details will automatically be refunded after 60 days.

Please contact the merchant directly if their name appears in the payment details, and check the payment amount if no merchant is listed. If you still don't remember making the payment, contact Customer Care.

Some LINE Pay merchants do not withdraw payments from your LINE Pay balance at the time of purchase. If you do not have sufficient funds in your LINE Pay balance when the payment is withdrawn, it will result in a negative balance.

Please be sure to add money to your account and bring it up to a positive balance.
