Important: New LINE Pay cards (JCB brand) are no longer being issued.
To use a LINE Pay card (JCB brand), you need to first activate it and add money to your balance.
To activate your LINE Pay card:
1. You can activate your LINE Pay card by scanning the QR code on the card's packaging or tapping
here on your smartphone.
2. Enter the last three digits of the 15 digit customer number (お客様番号) on the back of your LINE Pay card.
You can only activate your card if the number on the card is the same as the one displayed under your LINE Pay card when you tap Settings from the LINE Pay main menu > Prepaid card.
If you have a virtual card, you'll be restricted from making payments online until you have activated your LINE Pay card. When using your virtual card to make online purchases, go to the LINE Pay main menu > Settings > Prepaid card > your LINE Pay card, and turn ON For online use.
Note:
- Until your card is activated, you'll be able to use the virtual card for one hour, after which it will automatically be restricted again.
- You will need to set a LINE Pay passcode if you haven't already.
