Can LINE Reward Cards be used on any smartphone? toggle

What are LINE Reward cards? toggle
LINE Reward Cards is a service that lets you create stamp or point cards on the LINE@ app or the LINE@ Manager for PC, which can be offered to customers.

LINE Reward Cards solves the issue of customers who don't want to accept physical cards or the cost of distributing cards to customers who do not revisit your store. With unique digital features to manage and summarize statistics, you can carry out more effective initiatives to encourage repeat business. You can also distribute your reward cards to customers who have never visited your store to cultivate new customers.

Can I still use LINE Reward Cards after changing devices? toggle
The settings information on your LINE Reward Cards is linked to your LINE and LINE@ accounts.

If you have changed your device for a different model or for repair, you can still use your LINE@ account as well as your LINE Reward Cards just as before, by carrying over your LINE account to your new device.

For steps on how to carry over your LINE account, please see this article.

Please be aware, if you create a new LINE account without carrying over your previous account, you will not be able to log in to your LINE@ account or set points and distribute your LINE Reward Cards.

Edit and Create Reward Cards

How do I create Reward Cards? toggle
To create a Reward Card, please refer to the following.

From the LINE@ smartphone app
1. Tap the Manage tab > Reward Cards > Create Reward Card.
2. Choose a design and configure all of the settings.
3. Tap either Save Draft or Go Live.

From the PC version of LINE@
1. Click Reward Cards from the menu bar on the left.
2. Select a design and configure all of the settings.
3. Click SaveDraft or GoLive.

The information on my live reward card is incorrect toggle
Aside from the expiration date, all fields can be changed after the card goes live. However, any changes you make will not apply to reward cards already acquired by customers, the vouchers set on those cards, and vouchers that were already claimed.

If you wish to revoke and correct the card, discontinue the service by selecting the Last Day of Service setting and create another card once again.

How do I discontinue a reward card's service? toggle
To discontinue the service for your store's reward card after it has gone live, please refer to the following steps after you have read the cautionary notes below:

Important:
- Once you discontinue a card's service, you will not be able to undo the process.
- All data and settings, including points accumulated by customers, will be reset.
- You will not be able to create a new reward card until the day after the set Last Day of Service.
- When creating a new reward card, you will not be able to restore cards that had their services ended in the past.

From the LINE@ smartphone app
1. Tap the Manage tab > Reward Cards > Reward Cards > Last Day of Service.
2. Enter a date for both Last Day of Service and Last Day for Awarding Points, fill out the Message field and tap Last Day of Service.

From the LINE@ Manager for PC
1. Click Reward Cards from the menu on the left > Reward Cards > Reward Cards > Last Day of Service.
2. Enter a date for both Last Day of Service and Last Day for Awarding Points, fill out the Message field and click Last Day of Service.

You can check the number of issued cards and vouchers up until the previous day from Reward Cards > Manage Statistics.

Can I create rewards cards with any type of LINE@ account? toggle
Yes, you can create rewards cards with both approved and standard LINE@ accounts.

You can use the point card not only to promote your store but also to attract customers for a wide range of services such as events and concerts.

Reward Cards Features

What do I have to set up in order to release a rewards card? toggle
You need to set the prize to give to customers for getting a certain number of points. All other options can be left as the default setting when you release the card.

Options such as the required number of points for a prize and the expiration date can be set to your liking.

How do I award points to customers? toggle
To award points to customers, show them the QR code which they can scan with their devices.

There are two ways to show customers the QR code:

1. If you can set up a smartphone in your store:
Using the LINE@ app, you can show customers a one time QR code to scan.

2. If you cannot set up a smartphone in your store:
You can create a printable QR code to display in-store.

After the reward card goes live, you will be able to award users with points using a QR code. You will not be able to award points with the preview QR code that appears when creating a reward card.

Can I set limits to prevent misuse of awarded points? toggle
1. If you show a one time use QR code on a smartphone:
If a customer reads the same code more than once, they will not receive points. This is the best option to prevent misuse.

2. If you display a printable QR code:
As there is a higher potential for misuse of printable QR codes compared to one time use QR codes, you can strengthen the security by setting an expiration date for the code and by judging from the location where the customer reads the QR code.

What are Premium Reward Cards? toggle
This is a feature that lets users switch to another card after they reach the goal on their LINE reward card.

When you add a premium reward card on the LINE@ app or LINE@ Manager for PC, you will be able to set different rewards for each card.

Once a user earns enough points to reach the goal on their first card, it will change to a higher level card (premium reward card) where they will be able to aim for even better rewards.

Can I set up vouchers on the way to a goal? toggle
Yes, you can. 

Even if you have set a goal that is far off, you can set small prizes midway through without interrupting the customer's progress.

Can I set the same LINE Reward Card for multiple store locations? toggle
If you are using one LINE@ account for multiple store locations, you can award points to the same card for each location. However, if you are using a different LINE@ account for each location, we currently do not allow for a shared card in this case.

Can I send notifications to users when a LINE Reward Card is close to expiring? toggle
You can set an automatic warning message to be sent out to each customer before a card's expiration date.

You can also send a warning message before a voucher's expiration date for those customers who have aquired them, just like you can for rewards cards.

How many points can I award at a time? toggle
When awarding customers points, you can set the amount to be issued. You can issue a maximum of 50 points at a time.

You will need to set the amount of points to be awarded from the Point Awarding Page Settings for the one-time QR code that will appear on your smartphone.

How can I view data on a reward card? toggle
To view data such as how many customers are using your reward cards and how many points have been issued, please refer to the following steps:

From the LINE@ smartphone app
Tap the Manage tab > Reward Cards > Manage Statistics.

From the LINE@ Manager for PC
Click Reward Cards from the menu on the left > Manage Statistics.

Statistical data will not be updated in real-time, but once a day.

How can I make my LINE Reward Cards searchable to users? toggle
By registering your location information, users will easily be able to find your Reward Cards by using the Shop Search feature, bringing up search results from the stores closest to them.

To register your location information, please follow the steps below.

From the LINE@ smartphone app
1. Tap the Manage tab > Reward Cards > Store Location.
2. Search your shop's address and name, or locate and set it on the map and tap Save.
3. Return to the Store Location screen and turn ON MakeSearchable.

From the PC version of LINE@
1. Click Reward Cards from the menu on the left > Store Location.
2. Search your shop's address and name, or locate and set it on the map.
3. Check the box for Make Searchable and click Save.

Please note if you are using a standard LINE@ account, your store will not appear in search results.

How can I make my Reward Cards unsearchable? toggle
To make your Reward Cards unsearchable, please follow the steps below.

From the LINE@ smartphone app
1. Tap the Manage tab > Reward Cards > Store Location.
2. Turn OFF Make Searchable.

From the PC version of LINE@
1. Click Reward Cards from the menu on the left > Store Location.
2. Check Hide from searches and click Save.

Please note if you are using a standard LINE@ account, your store will not appear in search results.

My store does not appear in the Shop Search page toggle
In order for your store's reward card to appear in the Shop Search page, you need to meet the following conditions:

• Your reward card is live.
• You are using an approved LINE@ account.
The Make Searchable setting is ON. (The default setting is ON.)

Are there any fees to create LINE Reward Cards? toggle
You can create and use LINE Reward Cards free of charge. However, we ask that you make arrangements for the prize to give to your customers.

Are LINE Reward Card points interchangeable with LINE Points? toggle
The points you can earn with LINE Reward Cards are different from LINE Points. Points earned from LINE Reward Cards are only valid at the store they were issued from.

The points earned from LINE Reward Cards are treated the same as stamps you earn for typical stamp cards and have no relation to LINE Points.
