The steps to change your registered name or address differ for your LINE Pay account and your Visa LINE Pay credit card/Visa LINE Pay credit card (P+). Select and refer to the information below that corresponds to the information you want to change.

Changing the registered information of your LINE Pay account

See the relevant information below for your balance type.
Note: You can check your balance type by opening the LINE app and tapping the Wallet tab > LINE Pay > Settings.

LINE Money account holders

See the method for applying to change your registered information based on the fields you want to change.

If you want to change your last name (in kanji or katakana) and or your address

You can apply to change your name or address here.

If you want to change your first name (in kanji or katakana) and or your date of birth

You can apply to change your first name or date of birth here.

Once the account holder's name has been registered, it cannot be changed to someone else's name, even if the person is a relative. If you have an inquiry related to inheritance, please contact us here.

Also, you'll need one of the following photo IDs when you apply.
Note: You can only apply to change your registered information from the smartphone you use with LINE Pay.

Japanese citizens or Special Permanent Residents
Acceptable forms of ID:
• Driver's license
• Driving history certificate (運転経歴証明書)
• Individual Number ("My Number") card
Note: Individual Number notification cards are not accepted.
• Special permanent resident certificate

Important: As of November 24, 2022, we no longer accept Japanese passports.

Foreign residents (16 or over)
Acceptable form of ID:
• Residence card
Note:
- If you are a foreign resident, be sure to apply with your residence card, as we need to confirm your period of stay and other details. (This does not apply to special permanent residents.)
- If your period of stay will end soon, we may not be able to accept your application to change your registered information.

LINE Cash account holders

You must apply to verify your identity. For more information, see Verifying your identity to use LINE Money.
Note: You can only apply to change your registered information from the smartphone you use with LINE Pay.
