Linking your Visa LINE Pay credit card (P+) to LINE Pay

To add your Visa LINE Pay credit card/Visa LINE Pay credit card (P+) to your LINE Pay account:

1. Tap Link your card on the Visa LINE Pay credit card banner and agree to the Terms.

2. Enter your card information and security code.

3. Tap Add.

Note: You may need to enter your LINE Pay passcode to proceed.

4. After you're redirected to the Vpass screen, enter your Vpass password.

You can also add your card by going to Settings on the LINE Pay main menu > Credit cards.

Note: You will not earn Points until your Visa LINE Pay credit card/Visa LINE Pay credit card (P+) is registered to your LINE Pay account.

One Visa LINE Pay credit card and one Visa LINE Pay credit card (P+) can be added to a LINE Pay account. If you had your registered card reissued and are adding a new card to your LINE Pay account, make sure to delete the card that you were previously using first.

If you are unable to register your Visa LINE Pay credit card or Visa LINE Pay credit card (P+) to your LINE Pay account, make sure that:

• Your card number and other information was entered correctly.

• The card is not already registered to your account or another account.

• There is no reason why your card cannot be used normally.

Note:

- To check the status of your card, please contact Sumitomo Mitsui Card directly. For details, see here (only available in Japanese).

- If your card has been reissued, be sure to delete the card currently registered to your LINE Pay account before registering the new one.

You can use your Visa LINE Pay credit card or Visa LINE Pay credit card (P+) without registering it to your LINE Pay account; however, you will not earn Points for making purchases at Visa merchants or for using Add & Pay.

By registering your device, you'll be able to protect your LINE Pay account even if a third party somehow learned your LINE Pay registered passcode.

If you don't register your device, you will not be able to add money to your balance from a linked bank account or register new credit cards.

To register your device:

1. Enter your postal code and date of birth.

2. Select either Text message (phone number) verification or Credit card verification.

Note: If you selected Text message, tap Send verification code and enter the verification code that is sent to you via text message.

3. Tap Continue.

4. Enter your LINE Pay passcode.

Note: A message saying "You've registered this device with LINE Pay" will be sent to you by the LINE Wallet (LINEウォレット) official account.

If you encountered an error when registering your device, see the information below for the option that applies to your situation.

The "Invalid information entered. Please double-check your details and try again." message appears

Check your postal code and date of birth registered to LINE Pay and enter them again.

The "You've reached the verification code sending limit. Please try again after 24 hours." message appears

You'll be restricted from having a verification code sent via text message if you go over the number of times you can have one sent. The restriction will automatically be removed after 24 hours from when you last failed to complete verification.

Try again after the restriction has been removed. If you can't wait until the restriction is lifted, please contact us via this Inquiry Form.
