When a temporary charge is made to your Visa LINE Pay credit card or Visa LINE Pay credit card (P+), you'll receive a notification from the merchant.
Note: You'll see the details of the temporary charge in the LINE Pay main menu when you tap
Payment history > the payment.
Also, with some merchants, certain payments are processed at a later date instead of at the time you use your card.
Transaction examples where notifications arrive at a later date
• Online shopping (e.g. on Amazon)
• Recurring payments (e.g. utility payments, monthly fees, subscription fees)
• Temporary charges for small amounts (e.g. JPY 11, JPY 100) to confirm the validity of your card
• Hotel reservations, item pre-orders, and other similar transactions
Transaction examples where notifications arrive with "Visa merchant" or "Online Payment" as the merchant name
• Visa contactless payments using your smartphone
• Some Visa contactless payments using your card
• Some online shopping purchases made through Apple Pay or Google Pay
• Other cases where the merchant can't be identified on the system at the time a transaction was made
Please confirm whether you remember making the payment based on the merchant that charged you and the total amount.
Note: The name of the shopping center or management company may appear instead of the actual merchant where your card was used.
Payments are not finalized at the time notifications are sent out, so they will not immediately appear in your transaction history on Vpass. Once a payment is finalized on the merchant side, the merchant's name and the final payment amount will appear in your Vpass transaction history.
Note: It can take a few days or up to several months for payments to be finalized.
