To add your card to Apple Pay, follow the steps below.

Note:

- You can add your Visa LINE Pay prepaid card after you've created it.

- Cards cannot be added with the Apple Wallet app.

If you want to use your card with your Apple Watch, you need to add your card to your watch from the LINE app first, and then add the card on your iPhone.

Adding your card to use with Apple Pay on your Apple Watch

1. From the LINE Pay main menu, tap Card info.

2. Under Visa LINE Pay prepaid card, tap Check card info.

3. Tap Apple Pay > Get started.

4. Enter your LINE Pay passcode.

5. Select Apple Watch.

6. Tap Next > Agree to the Terms and Conditions.

Adding your card to use with Apple Pay on your iPhone

1. From the LINE Pay main menu, tap Tap to pay.

2. On the Apple Pay introduction screen, tap Get started.

3. Agree to the Terms and Conditions and enter your LINE Pay passcode.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions and finish adding your card.

Also, the four-digit passcode set for your virtual card is required when making payments of JPY 30,000 or more at iD merchants. You can set a passcode beforehand by going to the LINE Pay main menu and selecting Card info > Check card info under Visa LINE Pay prepaid card > iD passcode.

With a Visa LINE Pay prepaid card, you can make purchases with the money that you added to your LINE Pay balance and the money sent from friends to your LINE Pay Light balance. Follow the steps below when you use your Visa LINE Pay prepaid card at online Visa merchants.

To use your card:

1. From the LINE Pay main menu, tap Card info.

2. Under Visa LINE Pay prepaid card, tap Check card info.

3. Enter your LINE Pay passcode to display your card details.

4. Tap the icon to the right of the 16-digit card number and copy it.

5. Paste the card number in the credit card number field on the payment screen of the merchant's website.

6. Enter the other necessary card information (e.g. CVV, expiration date, name).

Note: Enter your own name in the card holder field.

By adding your card to Apple Pay or Google Pay, you can use it at merchants nationwide that accept iD and Visa contactless payments.

You'll earn Points when you use your Visa LINE Pay prepaid card if you meet the promotion requirements. For details, see the following LINE Pay promotion page. (Only available in Japanese.)

Promotion period:
For payments completed between Wednesday, January 10 and Saturday, November 30, 2024.

Promotion requirements:
• You need to join the promotion during the promotion period and the relevant months.
Note: Entry is required for each month.
• You need to make Visa contactless payments with your Visa LINE Pay prepaid card during the promotion period and each month you join it.
Note:
- iD Payments are not eligible for earning Points.
- The month Points are issued for is determined based on the "Transaction Complete" date in the Purchase details for the transactions in your LINE Pay Payment history.
- Depending on the merchant, it can take up to two months after using your card before a payment is completed.
- There are no restrictions on where you can make purchases, what you can buy, or how much you can spend, but you will not earn Points for amounts paid for using Points.

Timing for when Points are issued:
Payments completed during each month generate Points that are issued in one lump sum around the 10th of the following month.

For example:
• Points for payments completed between October 1 and October 31, 2024, will be issued around November 10.
• Points for payments completed between November 1 and November 30, 2024, will be issued around December 10.

How to check your issued Points history:
Please check your Points history after they're issued by opening LINE and tapping the Wallet tab > LINE POINT CLUB > History > Earned. Relevant items will show up as "LINE Pay: (Merchant name)" in your history, followed by these details: "LINEプリペ（Visa）" (paid with Visa LINE Pay prepaid card), "3%還元" (3% back), and "X月確定分" (month payment was completed).

If you were unable to make a payment, your payment attempt will appear in your Notifications (the bell icon at the top of the LINE Pay main menu).

Note: In some cases, the reason why you couldn't make the payment will also appear.

If you don't see a payment attempt in your Notifications, it means that your card cannot be used at the merchant.

Some common cases of being unable to use your Visa LINE Pay prepaid card include:

• When you don't have enough money in your LINE Pay balance.

• When the Use card setting is OFF.

You may have issues making a payment because:

• The total is less than JPY 11.

• It is for a monthly payment or renewable contract.

• You did not select to make a one-time payment.

• You are trying to purchase or add money to a prepaid card/e-money service (e.g. LINE Prepaid card store).

• It's for a product with cash value, such as stocks, bonds, foreign currency, cryptocurrency, mutual funds, and foreign exchange (FX) transactions.

• It's for an airline's in-flight sale.

• The merchant doesn't accept prepaid cards (e.g. utility companies, gas stations).

You may also experience other issues because:

• The total payment amount exceeds your spending limit.

• A LINE Pay administrator suspended your account.

Additionally, use of your Visa LINE Pay prepaid card may not be available due to the merchant's usage environment or our regulations.

Due to the nature of prepaid cards, there may be instances where you are temporarily charged twice. In this case, please wait until you are issued a refund.

For transactions where there's a long period of time between purchasing and delivery, such as preordering items, there will be an initial deduction made to your card at the time of ordering to confirm its validity. After that, you'll be charged again at the scheduled delivery time.

The first deduction will be refunded when we receive the refund information from the merchant; however, there may be cases where we receive payment confirmation for the second charge first, temporarily resulting in being charged twice.

Your refund will be processed as soon as we receive the refund information, or after about 60 days if we don't receive the refund information, so please wait until you receive your refund.

If you still haven't received a refund after 60 days, please contact Customer Care.
