If you can't link a bank account to LINE Pay, it may be due to one of the following reasons.
• You haven't verified your identity with your smartphone.
As of January 6, 2025, you can no longer verify your identity with your smartphone. If you didn't verify your identity, you will not be able to link a bank account or add money to your LINE Pay balance from it.
• Your LINE Pay account information and your bank account information don't match.
It's possible there was a mistake in the bank account information you entered. If your information on LINE Pay is different from the information registered to your bank account,
update your information on LINE Pay.
• The bank account is linked to another LINE Pay account.
The same bank account cannot be linked to more than one LINE Pay account. If you want to link your bank account to a different LINE Pay account, contact us via
this Inquiry Form.
Also, due to enhanced security on LINE Pay, you may be required to verify your identity with your smartphone when linking a bank account.
Note: As of January 6, 2025, you can no longer verify your identity with your smartphone. If you didn't verify your identity, you will not be able to link a bank account or add money to your LINE Pay balance from it.
