Viewing broadcasts

Watching past broadcasts toggle
You can watch past broadcasts on each profile page.
Note: Some broadcasts may be hidden due to distribution or copyright issues.

To search for past broadcasts: 
1. At the bottom of the Home screen, tap the search icon.
2. Enter a keyword in the field at the top of the screen, then tap Search.

The settings for LIVE stickers are set by the broadcaster. They cannot be hidden by other users.

About Data saver toggle
Data saver is a feature that only streams images and audio, which can save more than 90% of data compared to viewing videos.

When you have Data saver turned on, autoplay for live casts on the home screen will be turned off.

To use the Data saver feature:
1. Tap the My Page (silhouette) icon at the bottom right of the screen.

Commenting during broadcasts toggle
You can comment on broadcasts by following the steps below.
Note:
- In order to comment, you need to be signed in.
- Comments can only be made during live broadcasts.

1. Tap Join the conversation at the bottom of the broadcast screen.
2. Write a comment in the field, then tap Send.

How to enable/disable posting comments to Twitter toggle
To enable/disable posts to Twitter: 
1. Tap Join the conversation at the bottom of the broadcast screen.
2. Tap the Twitter icon next to the comment entry field and switch the setting ON or OFF.
Note: If the icon is blue, the setting is ON; if it's gray, the setting is OFF.

Items/LIVE Coins

Sending gift items toggle
You can send gift items by following the steps below.
Note: You need LIVE Coins to send gift items.

1. Tap the gift icon on the right side of the broadcast screen.
2. Select the gift item you want to send.
3. Enter a message, then tap Send.

What happens when I send gift items? toggle
Sending gift items lets you send a large number of points at once, making it easier to get a higher fan ranking.

You can also add messages when you send some gift items. These messages appear on the broadcast screen with an icon or in the comments.

Please understand that messages with icons appear in the order they are sent, so if many viewers are sending gift items, a broadcast may end before your message appears.

You will be unable to use the gift item feature if the broadcaster has configured their settings to restrict gift items. Your account may also be temporarily restricted from using the feature if you have engaged in prohibited activity.

Messages with icons appear on the broadcast screen in the order that viewers send gift items.

LIVE Coins toggle
LIVE Coins are a digital currency that you can use to purchase gift items in LINE LIVE.

LIVE Coins that you purchase don't have an expiration date, but LIVE Coins that you get for free are only valid for 180 days. Please understand there is no way to recover free LIVE Coins after they've expired.

Free LIVE Coins can be used after you've used all of your paid LIVE Coins.

Paid broadcasts

Paid broadcasts toggle
Paid broadcasts are live streams that viewers need to pay to watch. The price is paid for in LIVE Coins and specified by the broadcaster.

Watching paid broadcasts toggle
To watch a paid broadcast, you need to use LIVE Coins.

You can see how many LIVE Coins are required on the pop-up before a broadcast starts.

By tapping Watch you will be charged the listed amount of Coins and can immediately start watching the broadcast.

Rewatching paid broadcasts toggle
If you use LIVE Coins to watch a paid broadcast, you can watch it again during its viewing period by going to Viewing history at the bottom of the My Page screen or Paid broadcast history.

To see your paid broadcast history: 
1. Tap My Page (the silhouette icon) at the bottom right of the screen.
2. Tap the Settings icon at the top right of the screen > Paid broadcast history.

Viewing period for paid broadcasts toggle
If you use LIVE Coins to watch a paid broadcast, you can rewatch it anytime during the viewing period that's displayed when you make your payment. You can check how much time is left by going to Paid broadcast history.

Premium channel broadcasts toggle
Premium channel broadcasts are only available to premium members and require a subscription to watch. Broadcasts are also archived for a period of time so premium members can view them when they like.

Subscribing to a premium channel toggle
There are two ways to subscribe to a premium channel.

From a channel's page:
1. Go to the channel's page and tap Subscribe.
2. Tap the button showing the price at the bottom of the screen.
3. When you see the Google Play payment screen, tap Subscribe.

From a premium channel broadcast:
1. Tap a broadcast from the premium channel you want to subscribe to.
2. Tap the button showing the price at the bottom of the screen.
3. When you see the Google Play payment screen, tap Subscribe.

Canceling a premium channel subscription toggle
To cancel a subscription:
1. Start the Play Store app.
2. Tap the menu icon at the top of the screen > Subscriptions.
3. Tap LINE LIVE.
4. Tap Cancel subscription.
5. Select the reason why you want to cancel your subscription, then tap Next.
6. Confirm by tapping Cancel subscription on the pop-up.

Checking the status of a premium channel subscription toggle
To check the status of a subscription:
1. Start the Play Store app.
2. Tap the menu icon at the top of the screen > Subscriptions.
3. Tap LINE LIVE.

LINE LIVE will not appear in your list of subscriptions if:
• The Google account you are logged in with hasn't been used to subscribe to a channel.
• Your subscription has already expired.

I can't subscribe to a premium channel toggle
If you're having trouble subscribing to a premium channel, there may be an issue with your subscription settings.

From your device settings, make sure that:
• Your credit card information was entered correctly.
• Your credit card has not expired.
• You have a sufficient balance on your Google Play gift card.
• You're not signed in with a Google account that already has a premium channel subscription.

About free trials for premium channels toggle
Some premium channels have free trials, which let you experience being a member for a limited time.

The length of a free trial depends on the premium channel. You can see the trial period on the channel's purchase page or check it on your subscriptions page after signing up.

For information on how to check your subscription status, see this Help article.

If you don't cancel your membership at least 24 hours before the free trial ends, it will automatically switch over to a paid subscription. When this happens, the Google account you used for signing up will start being charged the subscription fee.

Face-offs

I can't send gift items or hearts toggle
Gift items and hearts cannot be sent during the one-minute cooldown period after the winner of a face-off is determined. You can send them again after the one-minute cooldown has ended.

The result of a face-off appeared before it finished toggle
There may be lag between the broadcast video and the on-screen display due to the network connection of the broadcaster or viewer. In such cases, the face-off result may appear on the screen before the face-off appears to have ended in the broadcast.

To receive a notification when a broadcast starts:
1. Tap the relevant profile or broadcast.

You can check the number of viewers for a broadcast, or the total number of views after a broadcast has ended, at the top or bottom of the broadcast screen.

Mission Bingo

Mission Bingo toggle
In Mission Bingo, different missions are specified in the spaces of a 3×3 bingo card. You can earn rewards for completing three missions in the same line. A bonus reward is also issued if you complete all of the missions on a card.

Rewards are distributed as soon as you earn them in the system (not only after you open and check your bingo card).

Important:
- Missions can only be completed from the LINE LIVE app. You cannot complete missions by watching broadcasts on your PC or via LINE.
- Missions can only be completed by watching live broadcasts. You cannot complete missions by watching archived broadcasts.
- Missions are reset daily at 12 am. Please be aware that any incomplete lines that you have will become invalid at that time.
- There may be a delay of up to 15 seconds between when you perform the action to complete a mission and when the mission is recognized as being complete.
- The content of missions and their rewards may change without notice.
- We may stop offering Mission Bingo without notice.
