Difference between LINE Coins and Points

Coins

Coins are a currency for purchasing stickers, themes, emoji, and in Profile Studio, AI images. You need to purchase Coins before you can use them to buy anything.

Purchasing LINE Coins

Points

The LINE Points program lets you earn Points for using various LINE services and making purchases with LINE Pay. These Points can also be used to purchase stickers, themes, emoji, and in Profile Studio, AI images.

Purchasing items with Points

Points are exchanged for Coins at a rate of one Coin for every two Points.

Note: The exchange rate may differ depending on the country you're using LINE in. See the following Help article for details.

Are Points included in the My Coins balance?

The My Coins balance that appears on the sticker/theme/emoji purchase screen includes your purchased Coins and any Coins that you can get by exchanging your Points.

Points are exchanged for Coins at a rate of one Coin for every two Points.

Purchasing items with Points

To purchase an item with Points, follow the steps below.

Note: Points will only be used if you don't have enough Coins to make a purchase.

1. Tap Home > Stickers or Themes under Services.

2. Tap the item you want to purchase.

3. Tap Purchase.

I can't purchase items with Points

You may not be able to purchase an item with Points because you have an insufficient Point balance.

If the My Coins balance appears in red on the info screen of the item you want to purchase, it means you don't have enough Points. In this case, please consider purchasing the item using a different method (e.g. LINE Coins, LINE Credit).
