To open a LINE BITMAX account, please follow the steps below.

Note: To start using LINE BITMAX, you must verify your identity.

1. From the Wallet tab on LINE, tap LINE BITMAX.

2. Tap Join now.

3. After reading and understanding the terms, tap Agree.

4. Register your information.

5. Follow the instructions for Simple identity verification.

You'll be able to trade on LINE BITMAX after your identity verification application has been approved. For information about how to verify your identity, please see the following LINE BITMAX official blog post. (Only available in Japanese.)

³If the deposit from PayPay succeeds, but your purchase fails, the money will be refunded to PayPay Money. In this case, you will not incur any fees.

¹Maker orders refer to new orders placed on the board.
²Taker orders refer to orders that fill existing orders already on the board. All market orders are taker orders. In either case, the above rate will be applied to the total price (fill amount × fill price), which will then be exchanged in Japanese yen.

You can check the following assets by tapping 口座 (Accounts).

• Total assets: Total value of My assets and Lent assets converted to Japanese yen
• My assets: Total value of your JPY balance and the crypto assets you own (including crypto assets you've applied to lend) converted to Japanese yen
• Lent assets: Total value of the crypto assets that you've lent to LINE BITMAX converted to Japanese yen
• Spot account (JPY): Your balance of Japanese yen in your LINE BITMAX spot account
• Your balance for each crypto asset

To link your PayPay account, the identity verification information (full name in katakana, date of birth) for both services must match exactly.

Before you begin linking your PayPay account, please check your full name in katakana and date of birth registered to both your LINE BITMAX account and your PayPay account.
Note:
- You can check your LINE BITMAX identity verification information from the LINE BITMAX main menu > More > Manage account > Manage personal information.
- For the steps to check and change your PayPay identity verification information, see this PayPay Help article. (Only available in Japanese.)

If, after checking, you need to change your full name in katakana registered to LINE BITMAX, see this Help article.

Please keep the following points in mind when checking your name in katakana:
• Make sure no extra spaces are included in your name in katakana.
Note: Delete any extra spaces before or after your name.

• Make sure the characters used for your name in katakana are correct. For example, if your name is written as ジョン (John), don't write it as ジヨン.
Note: If your name is registered differently in katakana on PayPay and LINE BITMAX, you will need to unify how your name is written on both services.

• Check if the order of your last, middle, and first names is different.
Note: You can't link your PayPay account unless the last, middle, and first names on both your LINE BITMAX and PayPay accounts are entered in the same order. Please make sure that the order of your name in katakana matches exactly on both services.

For users who have a middle name

If you need to change your name in katakana on LINE BITMAX to match your PayPay account, refer to the following examples.

Users with one middle name

Last name: Smith (スミス)
Middle name: William (ウィリアム)
First name: John (ジョン)

Enter your last and middle names in the Last name field, leaving a space between them, as shown in the image below.
Note: Make sure the name order used to verify your identity on PayPay is registered as "スミス　ウィリアム　ジョン."

Users with two middle names

Last name: Smith (スミス)
First middle name: William (ウィリアム)
Second middle name: Thomas (トーマス)
First name: John (ジョン)

Enter your last name and both middle names in the Last name field, leaving a space between each name, as shown in the image below.
Note: Make sure the name order used to verify your identity on PayPay is registered as "スミス　ウィリアム　トーマス　ジョン."
