Service info/Opening an account

Margin trading refers to paying a certain amount of money (Japanese yen) as a deposit to borrow assets (e.g. cash, crypto assets) for buying/selling.

The LINE BITMAX Crypto Asset Margin Trading Service offers margin selling, but not margin buying.

LINE BITMAX also lets you sell on margin at up to 2x leverage.

This is the basic process for margin selling:

1. Open a margin trading account.

2. Deposit Japanese yen into your margin account via inter-account transfer.

3. Get positions by selling on margin.

4. Close your positions with closing buys.

Note:

- You need a LINE BITMAX account to open a margin trading account.

- When you apply to open a margin trading account, your application will be reviewed.

In order to use the LINE BITMAX Crypto Asset Margin Trading Service, you need to create a LINE BITMAX account and open a margin trading account.

To open a margin trading account, follow the steps below.

Note: After you apply to open a margin trading account, we will review your application.

1. On the LINE BITMAX main menu, tap Accounts > Margin account.

2. Confirm the service details and tap OK.

3. Tap Confirm on the right side of the screen, then enter the passcode you set on LINE Pay.

4. Make sure that your information is correct, then tap Update information.

5. After you've confirmed the service explanations and terms of use, tap Open account.

A position refers to the state before buying back crypto assets that you borrowed from LINE BITMAX and sold on margin.

You can confirm your positions from the LINE BITMAX main menu by tapping Home > the crypto asset you want to trade > Margin trades/Order history.

You may end up with a negative balance of Japanese yen in your margin account as the result of a forced loss-cut. This negative amount is referred to as a negative margin.

If you have a negative margin, you'll be restricted from:

• Making new margin sell trades.

• Withdrawing the Japanese yen balance from your spot account (except for transfers to your margin account).

• Sending crypto assets from your spot account.

• Transferring the Japanese yen balance from your margin account to your spot account.

• Submitting new lending applications for the Crypto Asset Lending Service.

We will lift the above restrictions as soon as we can reasonably confirm that the negative balance in your margin account has been resolved.

Your margin trading account is linked to your LINE account. You cannot link a margin trading account (or transfer your deposited margin and position) to a margin trading account that was opened with a different LINE account.

LINE BITMAXお知らせ (LINE BITMAX Notifications) will contact you in the following situations.

You'll be notified only via LINE chat message if:

• Funds are transferred between your spot and margin accounts.

• A margin sell or closing buy trade occurs.

• An order is canceled.

• An order becomes invalid.

• An order fails.

• An order is filled.

• A negative margin occurs.

You'll be notified via both LINE chat message and email if:

• Your margin maintenance rate falls below 110% (Forced loss-cut alert).

• A forced loss-cut trade occurs (Forced loss-cut executed).

• There are only three days left before the position repayment deadline.
