Passcode

To ensure that everyone can use LINE BITMAX safely, a six-digit passcode is required to verify that the account owner is the one accessing the account.

You may be asked to enter your passcode when making transactions, so be sure to set one up.

Please manage your passcode responsibly and do not share it with others under any circumstances.

If you were using LINE BITMAX before December 19, 2024

With the end of the LINE Pay service, the LINE Pay passcode you have been using on LINE BITMAX up to December 18, 2024, will no longer be valid. To continue using LINE BITMAX, please set a new passcode by March 2025.

After accessing LINE BITMAX, a pop-up will appear prompting you to set up a new passcode. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish setting your passcode.

Note: You won't be able to use LINE BITMAX until you set up a new passcode.

If you created a LINE BITMAX account after December 18, 2024

A screen to register a passcode will appear when you create a new account.

In order to use LINE BITMAX safely, you're required to set a six-digit passcode.

Please be aware that you cannot set one if:

• It's the same as your current passcode.

• The same number is being used three or more times consecutively (e.g., 111, 222).

• There is only a combination of two numbers (e.g. 121212, 343434).

• There are three or more consecutive numbers in a row (e.g. 123, 456).

• It includes the last four digits of your phone number registered with LINE.

Note: For example, if your registered phone number is 090-1234-5678, your 6-digit passcode can't include 5678.

To change your passcode on LINE BITMAX, see the following steps.

1. From the LINE BITMAX main menu, tap More > Manage account > Passcode settings.
2. Enter your current passcode.
3. Tap Change passcode.
4. Enter your new passcode.
Important: Do not recycle passcodes. Be sure to set a different passcode for each online service you use.

If you've forgotten your passcode, you can reset it by following the steps below after updating the LINE app to the latest version.

1. Tap Forgot your passcode? above the numeric keypad or go through the required steps if you enter the wrong passcode five times in a row.
2. Confirm that the email address you registered with LINE is displayed, then tap Send.
3. Confirm the six-digit verification code that was sent to your email address.
4. Return to the LINE BITMAX screen and enter the verification code in the input box within five minutes of tapping Send, and tap Next.

Please note that you will be locked from resetting your passcode after 10 failed verification code input attempts. You will not be able to have a verification code reissued for an hour after being locked, so please try again after some time has passed.

If you haven't received the verification code, please also check if:
• You specified receiving emails from specific domains for the email address you're using.
Note: The verification code is sent via the "xxxyyyzzz@bitmax.com" email address.
• The verification code email was sent to your spam or a similar folder.
• Your email address is valid.

All features requiring your passcode will be restricted if you enter it incorrectly five times. You will need to reset your passcode if it's locked.

You will be locked from resetting your passcode after 10 failed verification code input attempts. You will not be able to have a verification code reissued for an hour after being locked, so please try again after some time has passed.
Note: We are unable to lift the passcode lock even if you contact us via the Inquiry Form.

With the end of the LINE Pay service, the LINE Pay passcode you have been using on LINE BITMAX up to December 18, 2024, will no longer be valid. Please set a new LINE BITMAX passcode to use on the service from December 19, 2024.
Note: You can continue using your LINE Pay passcode on LINE Pay.

Please understand that you will not be able to use some features if you don't set a new passcode.

With the end of the LINE Pay service, your currently set LINE Pay passcode will become unavailable. To continue using the LINE BITMAX service, you need to set a new passcode.
Note: After the applicable period has ended, you will not be able to use all of LINE BITMAX's functions until you finish resetting your passcode. Please do so as soon as possible.
