If your country of tax residence or other details have changed, you can update your registered information by following the steps below.
Note: When updating your registered information, you are required to provide information in accordance with laws and regulations.
To update your registered information:
1. From the LINE BITMAX main menu, tap
More >
Manage account >
Manage registered information.
2. Enter your passcode.
3. Under the question "Is Japan your only country of tax residence?", select
Yes or
No.
4. If you don't need to make any other changes on the "Change account details" screen, tap
Done.
5. If you selected
No for question 3, a pop-up message asking, "Do you have a country of tax residence outside of Japan?" will appear.
6. After reading the pop-up message, tap
Confirm if it applies to you.
7. A pop-up message will appear informing you that instructions will be sent via the LINE BITMAX Notifications (LINE BITMAXお知らせ) official LINE account. Tap
OK.
8. View the chat message titled "Confirming your country of tax residence," then tap
View page.
Note: The page you'll be taken to is only available in Japanese.
9. Select
居住地国等の申告を希望 (I want to declare my country of tax residence and other details).
10. Provide the following required information, then tap
送信 (Send).
• The correct name of your country (or countries) of tax residence
• Your tax identification number
• The reason your registered address in Japan differs from your declared country of tax residence
• Any additional information you would like to provide (optional)
Note:
- If you do not provide accurate information within three months of changing your country of tax residence, your LINE BITMAX account may be restricted.
- If you falsely declare your country of tax residence or other information, you may be subject to imprisonment for up to six months or a fine of up to JPY 500,000, in accordance with Article 13, Paragraph 4 of the Act on Special Provisions. We ask that you provide accurate information.
