Where can I find the player? toggle
The player can be found at the bottom of the screen on each page within the app. You can see what song is playing, pause or play the song from the player.

Displaying song lyrics toggle
To see lyrics on LINE MUSIC version 5.0.0 or later:
Tap the two lines of lyrics that appear on the full player, or tap "..." on the right side of the screen > See lyrics.

To see lyrics on LINE MUSIC versions earlier than 5.0.0:
Tap the cover art on the full player, or tap the menu icon at the top right of the screen.

Note: Some songs may not have lyric data that can be displayed.

Can I use the same name for multiple playlists? toggle
Yes, you can. However, please note that some special symbols may not be usable.

Can tracks be continuously played? toggle
Yes, you can continuously play tracks. Please note you need to be connected to a network every time each track begins. If you are not connected to a network, you will not be able to continuously playback locally saved tracks.

Downloads toggle
You can save your favorite songs, albums, and playlists to play them offline without using data.

When you save music that you purchased, it will appear in Downloads. You can play these songs without worrying about your data usage.
Note:
- We recommend saving songs while using a Wi-Fi connection.
- You can only play regular downloaded songs offline if you have a ticket. Songs that you purchased with Coins can be played offline with or without a ticket.

If you updated a saved album or playlist, tap Sync to update them in Downloads.
Note: The sync feature is available for LINE MUSIC versions earlier than 5.0.0. We plan to make it available for LINE MUSIC version 5.0.0 and later in the near future.

You will not be able to save songs if your device doesn't have sufficient free space. To see how much space is being used by your songs in Downloads, follow the steps below.

On LINE MUSIC version 5.0.0 or later:
1. Tap Library > Settings > Playback settings > Song quality and download.
2. Check the amount under Device Storage Usage.

On LINE MUSIC versions earlier than 5.0.0:
1. Tap Library > Settings > Music & Video Streaming.
2. Check the amount under Device Storage Usage.

Saving songs to Downloads to play offline toggle
To save songs to play offline, tap "..." to the right of a song name or at the top right of the details page for an album or playlist and tap Download.
Note: 
- We recommend saving songs while using a Wi-Fi connection.
- You will not be able to save songs if your device doesn't have sufficient free space.

About the Sync button toggle
If any changes have been made to your albums or playlists, you can save the updated versions for offline play by tapping the Sync button.

To update an album or playlist, tap the Sync button that appears on the details page of the saved album or playlist.

Albums and playlists are synced with the versions currently on the app, so in some cases songs may be deleted or the track order may change. Be sure to check the tracks for each album and playlist on the app before syncing them for offline play.

Note: The sync feature is available for LINE MUSIC versions earlier than 5.0.0. We plan to make it available for LINE MUSIC version 5.0.0 and later in the near future.

Deleting/organizing playlists toggle
To delete a playlist:
1. Tap Library > Playlists.
2. Tap the check icon at the top right of the screen.
3. Select the playlist you want to delete, then tap Delete > Yes/Confirm > Done.

To change the order of your playlists:
1. Tap Library > Playlists.
2. Tap the check icon at the top right of the screen.
3. Tap and hold a playlist, drag and arrange the order as you desire, then tap Done.
Note: You can only change the order of your playlists in LINE MUSIC versions earlier than 5.0.0.

Deleting/organizing songs in a playlist you created toggle
To delete one song at a time:
1. On the playlist screen, swipe left on a song and tap Delete.
2. Tap Delete on the confirmation screen.

To delete multiple songs at a time:
1. Tap the checkbox icon at the top of the playlist.
2. Select the songs to delete and tap Delete at the bottom.
3. Tap Delete on the confirmation screen.

Note: The methods for deleting songs above can be used from LINE MUSIC version 5.3.0.

To delete songs from the editing screen:
1. Tap Library > Playlists.
2. Tap the playlist name > "..." at the top right of the screen > Edit.
3. Select the song you want to delete, then tap Delete > Done.

To change the song order:
1. Tap Library > Playlists.
2. Tap the playlist name > the pencil icon or "..." at the top right of the screen > Edit.
3. Tap and hold the icon next to the song, drag and arrange the order, then tap Done.
Note: The pencil icon appears from LINE MUSIC version 5.3.0.

Why did the songs I saved to Offline Tracks disappear? toggle
Songs saved to Offline Tracks will be deleted if you:

- Repeatedly uninstall the app on the same device
- Repeatedly log in and out of the app (excludes app versions 1.3 or later; which will not delete songs)
- Clear the app cache on your device
- Install space optimizing apps to increase the storage space on your device
- Delete the cache from Player Settings

The song is stuck loading and won't play toggle
If a song will not load, please try restarting the app and updating it to the latest version to see if it will load properly.

It is also possible that your data connection speed is affecting loading times. Please try improving your data connection by connecting to a Wi-Fi network or checking whether or not there are restrictions on your mobile data speeds.

About Data Saving Mode toggle
This mode lets you conserve the amount of data that's used when streaming music. Enabling data saving mode will reduce the sound quality of songs you stream or save to Downloads.

To stream songs in high quality, go to Music & Video Player Settings and select Custom Mode.

Note: Data Saving Mode cannot be used with LINE MUSIC version 5.0.0 and later. You can set the song/video quality for streaming or downloading based on your network connection (for Wi-Fi or cellular network connections).

What's Local Music? toggle
Local Music is a feature that allows you to listen to music already saved on your device in LINE MUSIC.

When you change or delete the music saved on your device, the changes will automatically be made in the app.
Note: There is no feature to edit or delete music in the LINE MUSIC app.

What's the difference between Local and Downloads? toggle
Music already saved on your device appears under Local and you can listen to it right from the LINE MUSIC app.

Downloads is where you can save your favorite songs, albums, and playlists from LINE MUSIC, then play them offline without using data.

I can't use Local Music toggle
You may not be able to use Local Music if you have not allowed access to the media library on your device.

Please go to your device's Settings > LINE MUSIC > turn ON access to MEDIA_LIBRARY.

Do I need to register my device? toggle
In order to download purchased music, you need to register your device. This is the only way to download music that you purchased.

You can register up to 10 devices and delete up to 5 a year. These registration restrictions will reset on January 1st every year.

Seeing what songs are up next toggle
You can see what songs are up next by swiping up on the full-screen player.

If you're using LINE MUSIC version 5.0.0 or later, you can also see a list of queued songs by tapping the music note icon on the player.

About the OCR feature toggle
The optical character recognition (OCR) feature searches for song information in photos and let's you quickly add those songs to a playlist.
Note: OCR is only available with LINE MUSIC version 5.0.0 or later.

To use OCR: 
1. Save a photo of a list of songs from the internet.
2. Tap Library > Playlists.
3. Tap Add new playlist, or tap an existing one.
4. Tap the music note icon to the right of Add new song.
Note: To add songs to an existing playlist, tap "..." > Edit > the music note icon.
5. Select your saved photo.
6. Check the songs that were added to the playlist and tap Done.

About karaoke mode toggle
Karaoke mode removes the artist's voice from a song just like actual karaoke.

When using headphones (wired or wireless), you can use your smartphone's microphone to hear your own voice while you sing along. After connecting your headphones, turn ON Hear my voice on the lyric screen.

Note:
- Karaoke mode will remove the artist's voice from a song even if you don't have headphones connected.
- You need to give the app permission to access your smartphone's built-in microphone the first time you use karaoke mode with headphones connected.
- We recommend using wired headphones with karaoke mode.
- You can display synced lyrics after purchasing a ticket.
- Karaoke mode is available for iOS with LINE MUSIC version 5.0.0 or later.

Managing your queue toggle
You can reorder songs in your queue or delete them. You can also save songs or add them to playlists with LINE MUSIC version 5.0.0 or later.

To reorder songs:
Tap and hold the icon next to a song in your queue, then drag it to where you want it.
Note: With version 5.0.0 or later, the order of songs in your queue will be random when you use shuffle mode. Your queue will return to how it was before when shuffle mode is ended.

To delete songs from your queue:
• On LINE MUSIC versions earlier than 5.0.0: Swipe left on the song you want to delete.
• On LINE MUSIC version 5.0.0 or later: Put a check next to the song you want to delete and tap Delete from the menu at the bottom of the screen.

To save songs or add them to a playlist (LINE MUSIC version 5.0.0 or later):
• Put a check next to a song, then tap Save or Add from the menu at the bottom of the screen.
Note: Your queue will be reset when you update to version 5.0.0. Queues from version 3.0 will not carry over.

Using karaoke mode toggle
You can use karaoke mode with any of the following methods.

• Tap the karaoke icon at the bottom of the full player screen.
Note: A message will appear saying karaoke mode cannot be used if the song doesn't support the feature.

• Tap See lyrics under the album cover on the full player screen > the karaoke icon at the bottom left of the lyrics screen.

• On the full player screen, tap "..." > Sing with karaoke mode.
Note: This option will not appear for songs that don't support karaoke mode.

Displaying synced lyrics toggle
You can only display synced lyrics with a paid plan and LINE MUSIC version 5.0.0 or later.

To display synced lyrics: 
1. Tap Library.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Playback settings.
4. Turn ON Display synced lyrics.
Note: If a song does not support synced lyrics, only the regular lyrics will be displayed.

You can see a song's lyrics by tapping See lyrics on the player screen.

If Display synced lyrics is turned OFF, lyrics will not be displayed on the player screen and you will not be able to use karaoke mode.

Karaoke settings toggle
While using karaoke mode, you can adjust the settings to your liking.

To access the karaoke settings:
1. Start karaoke mode.
2. Tap the karaoke settings icon at the bottom right of the lyrics screen.
Note: The karaoke settings icon will only appear when using karaoke mode.

Available karaoke settings
Vocal remove rate: Lets you adjust the vocals on the original song. You can change this setting when using karaoke mode, regardless of whether Hear my voice is turned ON or OFF.

My voice volume: Lets you adjust the volume of your voice when Hear my voice is turned ON.

Reverb: Lets you adjust the reverb (e.g. echo, reverberation) when Hear my voice is turned ON.

Built-in mic: Lets you set which mic to use when using Hear my voice. If this setting is turned ON, your smartphone's internal mic will be used. If it's turned OFF, your headphone mic will be used.

Music videos

Watching music videos toggle
You can watch music videos recommended by LINE MUSIC under MV Picks from the Home tab.
Note: With LINE MUSIC version 5.0.0 or later, you can watch music videos from the Videos tab.

If you want to watch music videos from a certain artist, check the Music Videos list on their LINE MUSIC page or find them using the Search tab.

Can I download music videos? toggle
Music videos are only available for streaming, and cannot be downloaded.

To stream music videos without using a Wi-Fi connection:
1. Tap Library > Settings.
2. Tap Music & Video Player Settings.
Note: With LINE MUSIC version 5.0.0 or later, tap Playback settings > Song quality and download.
3. Turn Permit streaming on mobile data networks ON.

Watching videos in a higher quality toggle
You can watch music videos in high quality if you have a free trial or valid LINE MUSIC subscription.

If music videos won't stream in high quality even though you have a free trial or valid subscription, check the following:
• Tap Settings > Music & Video Play Settings and turn Streaming Quality ON. Then go back to Settings > Music & Video Play Settings and choose a Streaming Quality.
Note: For LINE MUSIC version 5.0.0 or later, you can set the video quality from Settings > Playback settings > Sound quality and download > Video Quality.
• From the music video player, switch the video quality from Low to High.
• Music videos may stream in a lower quality depending on the condition of your network connection. Try watching videos using Wi-Fi or in an area with a strong network connection.

Adding music videos to your library toggle
You can add your favorite music videos to your library with either of the following methods:

• Tap the heart icon on the music video you're watching.
• From an artist's page, tap Music Videos > "..." next to the video you want to add > Favorite.
Note: You can also add the music video to a playlist by selecting "..." > Add to Playlist.

To see your favorite music videos, go to the Library tab and check under Music Videos or MV Playlists.
