Authorizing with a LINE account
If you delete your LINE account, your LINE MUSIC usage history (including tickets you have used and owned, the right to use the service for listening to or viewing content, and your listening and viewing history) will be deleted.
Please be careful not to delete your LINE account by mistake, as you will not be able to restore your LINE MUSIC usage history.
After transferring your LINE account, you can transfer your tickets by logging in to LINE MUSIC using LINE.
For the steps to take before transferring your LINE account to a different device, please see this Help article.
If you don't transfer your LINE account, you won't be able to transfer your tickets or any other LINE MUSIC data.
Note:
- If you're transferring your account to a device running a different OS, please cancel your auto-renewal subscription in advance.
- Tickets purchased on LINE STORE can be transferred between devices running different OSes.
To delete your LINE MUSIC account, cancel your plan (ticket) and delete your account after your ticket expires.
Note:
- You cannot delete your account until your ticket expires.
- Even after canceling your subscription plan, your ticket can be used until its expiration date.
For the steps to cancel your plan (ticket), refer to this Help article.
Before deleting your LINE MUSIC account, read the following important notes and then delete your account with the steps below.
Important:
- Data, such as your profile information and paid songs, will be deleted and cannot be restored.
- If you were the member of a family plan, you will be removed from it when your account is deleted.
- If you have background music added to your LINE profile, it will no longer play.
To delete your LINE MUSIC account:
1. Tap Library > Settings at the top right of the screen > Account > Delete LINE MUSIC account at the bottom of the screen.
2. Read the pop-up about the deletion of your data and tap Continue.
3. Confirm the details about the information that will be deleted.
4. Put a check in the box at the bottom of the screen to indicate that you read and understood the information above, then tap 退会する (continue).
5. Check the final pop-up, then tap 退会する (delete account).
A confirmation pop-up will appear when the deletion of your account is complete.
This error will appear if you are logged in and playing music on multiple browsers or app versions of LINE MUSIC at the same time.
Note:
- You cannot play music from the PC browser and app versions of LINE MUSIC at the same time.
- This message will also appear if you change LINE accounts or if you re-install the LINE MUSIC app.
Tap OK to play music on the device you have on hand and stop playing on any other device.
To delete your LINE MUSIC account, you need to cancel auto-renewal for your subscription.
Also, you will not be able to delete your LINE MUSIC account even after canceling auto-renewal for your subscription until your ticket expires.
Note:
- To check your ticket’s expiration date, tap Library at the bottom right of the screen > Settings > My ticket > My Ticket.
- To check your plan's cancelation status, see this Help article.
If you've already canceled your plan, please delete your LINE MUSIC account after your ticket expires.
Settings and Profile
The Notifications screen shows new releases from your favorite artists, updated playlists, follow requests, and other such information.
Note: You can access the Notifications screen by tapping Today > the bell icon at the top right of the screen.
Your LINE MUSIC profile shows your username, profile photo, and favorite artists/songs.
Setting up your profile lets you share your favorite music, use Partyrooms, and enjoy music with your LINE friends and other LINE MUSIC users.
You can choose what content to share in your profile, as well as who can see it, from your profile settings. There are two profile privacy settings: Anyone and Approved Followers.

When you follow someone, you can get notifications whenever they host a Partyroom (excluding invitation only rooms).
Also, if a user has their LINE MUSIC profile privacy setting set to Approved Followers, you can see their profile information after they approve your request to follow them.
You can share your LINE MUSIC profile using one of the following methods.
To share your LINE MUSIC profile from the profile screen:
1. Tap Library > Settings > your profile photo or username.
2. Tap "..." at the top right of the screen.
3. Tap Share This Profile.
4. Select a method to share your profile.
To share your LINE MUSIC profile from the Add Friends screen:
1. Tap Library > Settings > your profile photo or username.
2. Tap Followers or Following > the silhouette icon at the top right of the screen.
3. Copy the link under Invite Friends and share it.
Your friends from LINE will appear on the Add Friends screen only if they've created a LINE MUSIC profile.
Note: Your LINE friends will be shown in the Add Friends list with the username and profile photo that they set for their LINE MUSIC profile.
To prevent other users from following you without your approval, you can set your LINE MUSIC profile privacy setting to Approved Followers.
If you've already approved a follow request from someone but don't want to be followed by them, you can block them.
Note:
- Blocked users cannot follow you or view your profile information.
- If you block someone, you will automatically unfollow each other (if either of you is following the other).
You can report someone to LINE MUSIC from their profile.
To report a user:
1. Go to the user's profile.
2. Tap "..." at the top right of the screen > Report.
3. Select your reason for reporting the account and tap Agree & send.
4. Tap OK.
If it is determined that the user's profile contains inappropriate content, we will take appropriate action.
You can unfollow someone from their LINE MUSIC profile screen or your Following list.
To unfollow someone from their profile:
1. Go to the user's profile.
2. Tap Following.
To unfollow someone from your Following list:
1. Tap Library > Settings.
2. Tap View Profile.
3. Tap Following.
4. Tap Following next to the user.
You can unblock someone from their LINE MUSIC profile screen or your Blocked accounts list.
To unblock someone from their profile:
1. Go to the user's profile.
2. Tap Unblock > Unblock.
To unblock someone from your Blocked accounts list:
1. Tap Library > Settings.
2. Tap View Profile.
3. Tap Edit Profile > Blocked accounts.
4. Tap Unblock next to the user > Unblock.
You can set what content is shared on your LINE MUSIC profile from the Edit profile screen.
To change what content is shared on your profile:
1. Tap Library > Settings.
2. Tap View Profile.
3. Tap Edit Profile.
4. Configure what you want to share under Share on your profile.
You can block a specific user from their LINE MUSIC profile.
To block a user:
1. Go to their profile.
2. Tap "..." at the top right of the screen.
3. Tap Block > Block.
4. Tap OK.
Note:
- You can block users' profiles, but you cannot block users from Partyrooms.
- Blocked users can still join Partyrooms that you join or create.

Logging in
There are two ways to log in using LINE:
• From the LINE MUSIC startup screen, tap Login to automatically log in through the LINE app installed on your device.
• From the LINE MUSIC startup screen tap Enter login info, then enter the email address and password registered to LINE to log in.
Note: You will need to register an email address from the account settings in the LINE app.
You can use LINE MUSIC as a guest user if you select Take a tour on the startup screen without logging in with your LINE account.
When you use LINE MUSIC as a guest, the features available are limited and you cannot purchase a plan. You can play 30 second segments of songs and videos.
