Money transfers

Below is the process for receiving your revenue share.

1. You'll receive a notification with your sales revenue the month after your items (e.g. stickers, emoji, themes) are purchased.

Your sales are totaled on the last day of every month, and your revenue share is determined around the middle of the following month. After your revenue share is determined, you'll receive a notification from the LINE Creators Market official LINE account.

2. Go to Account Settings and make sure you've registered your Transfer Information.

3. On the Payment Request page, confirm the Amount to be Transferred and request a money transfer.

You’ll be able to select the Payment Request button once your revenue share is more than JPY 1,000. After making a payment request, you'll receive a payment request accepted notification from the LINE Creators Market official LINE account.

Note: Your monthly revenue share is calculated until around the middle of each month. During this time, you will not be able to submit a payment request.

4. Receiving your revenue share.

We will transfer your revenue share to your registered payment information within 90 days of your payment request submission.

Note:

- If your payment information is a bank account, a fixed transfer fee will be deducted when the transfer is made.

- In some cases, a foreign exchange fee may also apply.

After your revenue share is transferred, you'll receive a transfer complete notification from the LINE Creators Market official LINE account.

Note:

- You cannot submit a payment request if your revenue share is less than JPY 1,000.

- You need to submit a payment request to receive the amount to be transferred. If you don't submit a payment request, your monthly revenue share will roll over to the next month.

- Transfers are made to the account that is registered under Transfer Information when a payment request is made. Make sure your information is correct before submitting your request to ensure that your transfer can be successfully completed.

To register your payment information on LINE Creators Market, follow the steps below.

Note: Smartphones and tablets are not included in the recommended system specifications for LINE Creators Market, so make sure to follow these steps on a PC to ensure that your information is registered properly.

1. Log in to LINE Creators Market.

2. On My Page, select Account Settings.

3. Enter the required information on the Transfer information tab, then select Save.

The options available for money transfers vary depending on your country of residence.

For creators living in Japan

Money transfers can be made to financial institutions, such as banks and credit unions located in Japan.

For creators living outside of Japan and Thailand

Creators may use either a PayPal Premier or PayPal Business account.

Note:

- PayPal Personal accounts cannot be used. Please contact PayPal for more information on the type of accounts they offer.

- Creators living in Japan cannot register a PayPal account.

- If the amount to be transferred exceeds JPY 100,000 it cannot be sent out in one transfer.

For creators living in Thailand

If your business type is Individual:

You can use LINE Pay e-wallet (page only available in Thai), or financial institutions (banks) that operate in Thailand. In regards to using LINE Pay e-wallet, see the Terms and Conditions for Receiving Revenue Share.

If your business type is Corporate:

You can use financial institutions (banks) that operate in Thailand.

There is no transfer fee when using LINE Pay e-wallet.

When making withdrawals from LINE Pay e-wallet, there is also no withdrawal fee (As of October 2016).

If Bank Transfer is your Method of Transfer, you will be charged a transfer fee of THB 50.

Note: The transfer fee, converted into Japanese yen based on the exchange rate at the time a payment request is made, will be deducted from your amount to be transferred.

Yes. A remittance fee of 2% of the amount to be transferred (up to JPY 5,000) will be charged for transfers to PayPal accounts. A foreign exchange fee set by PayPal will also be charged if you wish to receive payment in a currency other than Japanese Yen.

The options available for money transfers vary depending on your country of residence.

For creators living outside of Japan and Thailand

If your PayPal account is not set to be able to receive payments in Japanese yen, your revenue share payment will be canceled 30 days after the remittance date. When a revenue share payment is canceled, the amount is returned to LINE and you will not receive it.

To receive your revenue share with PayPal, configure your settings using one of the methods below.

To receive payments in Japanese yen:

1. Log in to PayPal.

2. From the menu, go to Money.

3. From Add a currency, select JPY.

Note: After following the steps above you'll be able to receive payments in Japanese yen, even if JPY is not set as your main currency.

To automatically receive payments in your local currency:

1. Log in to PayPal.

2. Select the Settings icon at the top right of the screen > Account settings > Payment preferences > Block payments.

3. For "Allow payments sent to me in a currency I do not hold," select Yes, accept and covert them to (primary).

If you haven't received your revenue share payment 30 days after the remittance date, it may have been canceled. In this case, please contact us from the Inquiry Form.

For creators living in Thailand

PayPal has informed us that as of December 15, 2022, creators living in Thailand will no longer be able to receive payment transfers to their PayPal accounts. For this reason, you will not be able to use PayPal as a payment transfer method starting from November 2022.

The amount that can be transferred to you is your revenue share minus the income tax withheld.

Revenue share for individual sales is calculated using either formula (a) or (b) below, while revenue share for LINE Stickers Premium is calculated using formula (c).

Formulas:

(a) Application Date is before January 31, 2015:

(Total revenue from sales of the Contents notified as the confirmed amount at the Creator’s My Page) × 50%

(b) Application Date is on and after February 1, 2015:

(For LINE Creators Collaboration Contents, the Creator shall be notified in a manner separately designated by LY Corporation of the formula which shall be used to calculate the Revenue Share.)

(Total revenue from sales of the Contents notified as the confirmed amount at the Creator’s My Page - the fees determined for each platform such as Apple App Store and Google Play for distributing the Contents) × 50%

Note:
- The distribution fees for the contents, set by each platform such as the Apple App Store or Google Play, are as follows. Additionally, due to the technical specifications of our system, the values for the contents used to calculate your revenue share that are shown on your My Page may differ from the actual values used for that calculation. However, we will make final adjustments using a specified adjustment rate so that your revenue share amount is not reduced as a result of this.

Distribution fees by platform

• Apple App Store

　- For purchases made in Japan on or after January 1, 2026: 26% of total revenue

　- For purchases made outside of Japan or purchases made in Japan on or before December 31, 2025: 30% of total revenue

• Google Play: 30% of total revenue

• LINE STORE: 30% of total revenue

(c) Formula for the content used in the LINE Stickers Premium service
(30% of the LINE Stickers Premium service total sales) × (1*/2*)

1*: Number of LINE Stickers Premium subscribers that sent/applied your content.
2*: Total number of subscribers that sent/applied LINE Stickers Premium content (calculated separately for each type of content).

Note:
- The formulas above will not apply to stickers submitted for review in the LINE Sticker Maker app after June 26, 2019, and revenue shares will not be received for the sales of such stickers. However, stickers submitted in version 4.0 and above of the LINE Sticker Maker app with the Paid download with revenue shares setting enabled are exempt from this restriction.
- Stickers sent with the Sticker Arranging feature are also eligible for revenue shares from LINE Stickers Premium.
