Canceling

If my ticket expires, will the songs saved in Downloaded Music be deleted? toggle
When your ticket expires, the songs you purchased and saved can still be played in their entirety anytime. Music saved in Downloaded Music won't disappear from your list, but you need to purchase a ticket to play the entire songs.

Canceling subscriptions (auto-renewal) toggle
The steps to cancel a subscription differ depending on the payment method that was used. Select your payment method below for information on how to cancel your plan.
Note: You can check your payment method in your Purchase History. For more details, see this Help article.


You can confirm your plan's cancelation status in the browser version of LINE MUSIC. For the steps to do so, see this Help article.

Important:
- Unless you cancel the auto-renewal of your subscription plan yourself, you will continue to be charged.
- Be sure to cancel your current plan at least 24 hours before it is set to expire.
- Uninstalling or deleting LINE MUSIC will not cancel your subscription.
- Even after canceling your plan, you can still use the service until the expiration date.

Canceling a Premium/Basic Plan free trial (auto-renewal) toggle
For the steps to cancel auto-renewal for a plan during its free trial period, select your payment method below.
Note: You can check your payment method in your Purchase History. For more details, see this Help article.

Important:
- If you're using a Premium or Basic Plan free trial, your subscription payments will automatically begin once the free trial period has ended.
- Unless you cancel the plan yourself, you will continue to be charged.

- Uninstalling or deleting LINE MUSIC will not cancel your subscription.
- Even after canceling your plan, you can still use the service until the expiration date.

Canceling carrier (e.g. au, Docomo, SoftBank) and credit card (e.g. Visa, JCB) billing toggle
Note: This Help article refers to those who purchased tickets by selecting carrier or credit card billing from inside the LINE MUSIC app prior to version 5.6.1 (released October 5, 2021).

To cancel carrier or credit card billing: 
1. At the bottom right of the screen, tap the Library tab > Settings > My ticket > My Ticket.
2. Tap Subscription cancel at the bottom of the screen.
3. Tap Give Up.
Note: If you tap Subscription cancel after your plan has been canceled, a pop-up message saying you have already unsubscribed will appear.

If Manage subscription is shown at the bottom of your screen:
You purchased the plan using a method other than carrier or credit card billing. For information on how to cancel your plan, check the steps for the payment method that you used in this Help article.

If Subscription cancel doesn't appear:
Subscription cancel will not be shown until the next renewal if you used up the 20 hours of playback time for a Basic Plan. If you want to cancel your subscription before it automatically renews, please contact us via this Inquiry Form.

Canceling Google Play payments toggle
To cancel Google Play payments:
1. At the bottom right of the screen, tap the Library tab > Settings > My ticket > My Ticket.
2. Tap Manage subscription at the bottom of the screen.
3. Select LINE MUSIC in Google Play, then tap Cancel subscription.

If the steps to unsubscribe in Google Play are unclear or you cannot unsubscribe, please contact Google Play customer support directly via this link.

If Manage subscription isn't shown, it may be for one of the following reasons:
• You used up the 20 hours of playback time for your Basic Plan.
Manage subscription will not appear until the next renewal, so you need to cancel your subscription directly from the Google Play website. For details about how to cancel, pause, or change a subscription on Google Play, see here.

• You purchased a subscription with a method other than Google Play.
For information on how to cancel your plan, check the steps for the payment method that you used in this Help article.

Important:

Canceling auto-renewal for the promotional six-month free subscription (LINE MUSIC 6カ月無料) from before January 18, 2023 toggle
For users that signed up for a LINE MUSIC for SoftBank subscription on or after January 18, 2023, see this Help article.

To cancel the six-month free subscription plan (6カ月無料特典プラン), follow the steps below.
Note: If you cancel your plan within the six-month free period, you won't receive any more free tickets from the next month.
1. Tap the Library tab at the bottom right of the screen.
2. Tap Settings > My ticket > My Ticket.
3. Tap Subscription cancel at the bottom of the screen.
4. Tap Give Up on the confirmation screen.

 

If you tap Subscription cancel after your plan has been canceled, a pop-up message saying you have already unsubscribed will appear.

Canceling a LINE MUSIC for SoftBank subscription from January 18, 2023 toggle
You cannot cancel a LINE MUSIC for SoftBank subscription from LINE MUSIC. Log in to your carrier's site and go to the page for optional services to do so.
Note: The following carrier pages are only available in Japanese.


If you don't see the LINE MUSIC for SoftBank subscription on your carrier's optional services page, it's possible you have a subscription with a different plan. For information on how to cancel your plan, check the steps for the payment method that you used in this Help article.

Important:
- Uninstalling or deleting the LINE MUSIC app will not cancel auto-renewal for your plan.
- Be sure to cancel your current plan at least 24 hours before it is set to expire.
