Where can I find the player? toggle
The player can be found at the bottom of the screen on each page within the app. You can see what song is playing, pause or play the song from the player.

Deleting playlists toggle
To delete a playlist:
1. Tap Library > Playlists.
2. Tap the check mark icon at the top left of the screen.
3. Select the playlist you want to delete, then tap Delete > Yes/Confirm > Done.

Note: You can also delete a playlist from the menu that appears when you tap and hold the playlist, or tap "..." at the top right of the screen after tapping the playlist.

Deleting/organizing songs in a playlist you created toggle
To delete one song at a time:
1. On the playlist screen, swipe left on a song and tap Delete.
2. Tap Delete on the confirmation screen.

To delete multiple songs at a time:
1. Tap the checkbox icon at the top of the playlist.
2. Select the songs to delete and tap Delete at the bottom.
3. Tap Delete on the confirmation screen.

Note: The methods for deleting songs above can be used from LINE MUSIC version 5.3.0.

To delete songs from the editing screen:
1. Tap Library > Playlists.
2. Tap the playlist name > "..." at the top right of the screen > Edit.
3. Select the song you want to delete, then tap Delete > Done.

To change the song order:
1. Tap Library > Playlists.
2. Tap the playlist name > the pencil icon or "..." at the top right of the screen > Edit.
3. Tap and hold the icon next to the song, drag and arrange the order, then tap Done.
Note: The pencil icon appears from LINE MUSIC version 5.3.0.

Why did the songs I saved to Offline Tracks disappear? toggle
Songs saved to Offline Tracks will be deleted if you:

- Repeatedly uninstall the app on the same device
- Repeatedly log in and out of the app (excludes app versions 1.3 or later; which will not delete songs)
- Clear the app cache on your device
- Install space optimizing apps to increase the storage space on your device
- Delete the cache from Player Settings

The song is stuck loading and won't play toggle
If a song will not load, please try restarting the app and updating it to the latest version to see if it will load properly.

It is also possible that your data connection speed is affecting loading times. Please try improving your data connection by connecting to a Wi-Fi network or checking whether or not there are restrictions on your mobile data speeds.

What's Local Music? toggle
Local Music is a feature that allows you to listen to music already saved on your device in LINE MUSIC.

When you change or delete the music saved on your device, the changes will automatically be made in the app.
Note: There is no feature to edit or delete music in the LINE MUSIC app.

What's the difference between Local and Downloads? toggle
Music already saved on your device appears under Local and you can listen to it right from the LINE MUSIC app.

Downloads is where you can save your favorite songs, albums, and playlists from LINE MUSIC, then play them offline without using data.

I can't use Local Music toggle
You may not be able to use Local Music if you have not allowed access to your device storage.

Please change your permission settings by going to your device's Settings > Apps > LINE MUSIC.

Changing which queue (Songs or Playlist) your songs are played in toggle
When you tap a song in an album or playlist, it's added to either the Songs queue (which plays only that song) or the Playlist queue (which also plays the album or playlist that the song belongs to).

To change which queue your songs are added to: 
1. Tap Library > Settings.
2. Tap Playback settings > Queue Setting.
3. Under When a song is selected, choose Play the entire queue (to have entire albums or playlists added to the Playlist queue) or Play only the selected song (to have single songs added to the Songs queue). 
Note: Even if your queue is set to Play only the selected song, tapping PLAY or SHUFFLE on an album or playlist screen will add all of its songs to the Playlist queue.

Do I need to register my device? toggle
In order to download purchased music, you need to register your device. This is the only way to download music that you purchased.

You can register up to 10 devices and delete up to 5 a year. These registration restrictions will reset on January 1st every year.

Song playback randomly cuts in and out toggle
This issue may occur when using energy saving settings.

Network usage will automatically be restricted if you have energy saving settings turned ON and the music that is currently playing will be interrupted in order to conserve battery power.

It should be noted that even if you don’t have any energy saving settings turned ON, energy saving mode may turn on after a certain amount of time has passed when your smartphone is not connected to a charger and the display is off.

Please try configuring the following energy saving settings to see if it resolves the issue.
Note: The steps may differ depending on your smartphone.

1. On your smartphone, go to Settings > Battery.
2. Tap the options icon at the top right of the screen > Battery optimization.
3. Tap the arrow icon > All apps > LINE MUSIC.
4. Check the Don't optimize option > Done.

Tap the music note icon at the bottom right of the player to check which songs are up next.

About the OCR feature toggle
The optical character recognition (OCR) feature searches for song information in photos and let's you quickly add those songs to a playlist.

To use OCR: 
1. Save a photo of a list of songs from the internet.
2. Tap Library > Playlists.
3. Tap Add new playlist, or tap an existing one.
4. Tap the music note icon to the right of Add new song.
Note: To add songs to an existing playlist, tap "..." > Edit > the music note icon.
5. Select your saved photo.
6. Check the songs that were added to the playlist and tap Done.

About karaoke mode toggle
Karaoke mode removes the artist's voice from a song so you can sing along.
Note: Tablets/iPads do not support karaoke mode.

You can hear your own voice while singing when you use wired earphones and tap Scoring on the karaoke screen.

Note:
- You need to give the app permission to access your earphones' microphone the first time you use karaoke mode with earphones connected.
- To use the Scoring feature, you need to connect wired earphones.

Using karaoke mode toggle
You can use karaoke mode with either of the following methods.
Note: Tablets/iPads do not support karaoke mode.

• Tap the microphone icon at the top of the full player screen.
Note: A message will appear saying karaoke mode cannot be used if the song doesn't support the feature.

• Tap "..." to the left of the song title on the full player screen > Sing along.
Note: This option will not appear for songs that don't support karaoke mode.

You can use the Scoring feature when you connect wired earphones.

Karaoke settings toggle
While using karaoke mode, you can adjust the settings to your preferences.

To access the karaoke settings:
1. Start karaoke mode.
2. Tap Settings at the bottom left of the karaoke screen.
Note: The settings icon will only appear when using karaoke mode.

Available karaoke settings
• Vocal remove rate: Lets you adjust the vocals on the original song. You can change this setting when using karaoke mode, regardless of whether Scoring is turned on or off.

• Microphone volume: Lets you adjust the volume of your voice when Scoring is turned on.

• Reverb: Lets you adjust the reverb (e.g. echo, reverberation) when Scoring is turned on.

I don't see my Top 50 list/My played songs aren't being counted toggle
If you don't see your Top 50 list or the songs that you've played aren't being counted, it may be due to one of the following reasons.

• You've played less than 20 songs in the last three months.
Note: You need to listen to at least 20 different songs for them to be counted (not the same song 20 times).

• You've only played songs that are eligible for promotions.
Note: The Top 50 list will not appear if you've played less than 20 songs in the last three months.

• You didn't play songs for a long enough time.
Note: Make sure you are playing songs all the way to the end.

• You were playing songs offline.
Note: If the Top 50 list doesn't update when you play songs, try connecting to the internet.

• The Charts page hasn't been updated yet.
Note:
- The Charts page is updated once daily at an undetermined time. Your played songs will be added sometime during the following day.
- If you've only used LINE MUSIC for a short period of time, it may take a while for songs to be added to your Top 50 list, even if you've already played 20 or more songs.

The number of times you play a song is counted by our system, even if you don't see the number updated on your Top 50 list. For details about the conditions to participate in a promotion that asks you to play a song a certain number of times, please see the promotion's information page.

Checking how many times you've played a song toggle
You can check the number of times you've played a song from your Top 50 list in the Charts tab.
Note:
- Songs that are played offline or on repeat are still added to your number of plays.
- The Charts page is updated once daily at an undetermined time. Your played songs will be added sometime during the following day.
- The Top 50 list will not appear if you haven't played at least 20 songs in the last three months.
- If you've only used LINE MUSIC for a short period of time, it may take a while for songs to be added to your Top 50 list, even if you've already played 20 or more songs.

We do not provide details regarding the conditions for counting played songs in your Top 50 list. Please understand that we cannot respond to inquiries regarding song play counts, even if you contact us.

For details about the conditions to participate in a promotion that asks you to play a song a certain number of times, please see the promotion's information page.

Using the Scoring feature toggle
When you connect wired earphones, you can use the Scoring feature on the karaoke screen.

To access this feature, tap the microphone icon at the top of the full player screen for the song you want to sing > Scoring at the bottom right.
Note: You can change the microphone volume from Settings at the bottom left of the karaoke screen.

Important:
- To use the Scoring feature, you need to update the LINE MUSIC app to version 6.0 or later.
- Tablets/iPads do not support karaoke mode.
- It may take some time for the data of the first song you sing in karaoke mode to load. If you can't start karaoke mode, wait for a few minutes and try again.
- You may not be able to use karaoke mode with some songs.

Checking the song lyrics screen toggle
You can check song lyrics using one of the following methods.
Note: Some songs may not have lyric data that can be displayed.

• Tap the speech bubble icon at the top of the full player screen.
• Tap "..." to the left of the song title on the full player screen > See lyrics.
• Tap the two lines of song lyrics displayed under the album artwork in the full player.
Note: Songs with lyric data display two lines of the song lyrics under the album artwork in the full player.

Downloads toggle
You can save your favorite songs, albums, and playlists to play them offline without using data.

When you save a song, it will appear in Downloads. You can play these saved songs without worrying about your data usage.
Note:
- We recommend saving songs while using a Wi-Fi connection.
- You can only play regular downloaded songs offline if you have a ticket.
- The sale of Purchase Only songs ended on April 4, 2022.

You will not be able to save songs if your device doesn't have enough free space. To see how much space is being used by your songs in Downloads, follow the steps below.

1. Tap Library > Settings > Playback settings > Song quality and download.
2. Check the amount under Device Storage Usage.

You can set the amount of song data that can be saved to your device beforehand. To do so: 
1. Tap Library > Settings > Playback settings > Song quality and download.
2. Turn Storage Space ON and set an amount.
Note: If the amount of song data saved to your device exceeds the limit you set, please change the limit.

Saving songs to Downloads to play offline toggle
Use one of the methods below to save songs to Downloads.

• To save a single song: Tap "..." to the right of the song > Download song.
• To save albums and playlists: Tap "..." at the top right of the details page for the relevant album/playlist > Download album or Download playlist.
Note:
- We recommend saving songs while using a Wi-Fi connection.
- You will not be able to save songs if your device doesn't have enough free space.

You can set the amount of song data that can be saved to your device beforehand. For the detailed steps to do so, see this Help article.

Can I set a song to play next? toggle
To choose a song to be played next, tap "..." next to a song > Play next.

The song will be added to your Songs or Playlist queue and start playing after the song you're currently listening to ends.
Note: You can configure which queue to use by going to Playback settings > Queue Setting. For more information, see this Help article.

Managing your queue toggle
You can reorder or delete the songs in your queue. You can also save songs or add them to playlists.

To reorder a song in your queue:
Tap and hold the icon next to the song, then drag it to where you want it.
Note: The order of songs in your queue will be random when you use shuffle mode. Your queue will return to how it was before when shuffle mode is ended.

To sort your queue by category:
Tap Custom at the top right of the song queue screen and select the category you want to sort by.
Note: You cannot use this feature with shuffle turned on.

To delete a song from your queue:
Put a check next to the song and tap Delete from the menu at the bottom of the screen.

To save a song or add it to a playlist:
Put a check next to the song, then tap Download or Add from the menu at the bottom of the screen.

Displaying synced lyrics toggle
To display synced lyrics: 
1. Select a song.
2. Bring up the song lyrics screen.
Note: For the methods to bring up the song lyrics screen, see this Help article.
3. Tap Seek (the menu icon) at the bottom right of the lyrics screen.

- Some songs may not have lyric data that can be displayed.
- You can only display synced lyrics with a paid plan.

You can see the songs you've listened to by refreshing the Recently played list.

To refresh your Recently played list: 
1. Tap the Today tab at the bottom left of the screen.
2. Swipe down on the screen to refresh it.

Viewing translated song lyrics toggle
If there's a translation of a song's lyrics, an on/off button for translated song lyrics will appear at the bottom right of the song lyrics screen.
Note: Translated song lyrics aren't provided for every song.

About Loudness Normalization toggle
With the Loudness Normalization feature, you can adjust songs with differing volumes to the same volume.

To set the Loudness Normalization feature: 
1. Tap Library > Settings > Playback settings > Loudness Normalization.
2. Turn Enable Normalization ON or OFF.

Turning on Enable Normalization lets you select your preferred volume from five preset volumes.
Note:
- If you turn this feature on, the volume will initially be set to the recommended volume.
- This feature is not applied to songs you purchased, local music, or music videos.

If you've turned on Enable Normalization, you can also turn the Preserve Original Quality setting on or off. With this setting on, song volumes are adjusted without affecting their original sound quality.
