Settings
On April 1, 2022, amendments to Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information went into effect. As a result, the following information needs to be registered and disclosed in LINE when using a LINE official account.
• If the account operator is a corporation or sole proprietor: The country or region where the corporation or sole proprietor is located
• If the account operator is an individual: The country or region where the individual lives
Please follow the steps below to register your country or region.
From the LINE Official Account app:
1. Tap Settings > Account.
2. Under Account details, tap Company or owner's country or region.
3. Select your country or region, then tap Save.
From LINE Official Account Manager for web browsers:
1. Click Settings > Account settings.
2. Under Account details, click Edit next to Company or owner's country or region.
3. Select your country or region, then click Save.
