Gain friends Ads

Gain friends Ads toggle
This feature lets you run ads in LINE to promote your LINE official account and gain friends fast. Your ads will start running as soon as they're approved.

To create gain friends ads:
1. Click Home > Gain friends Ads under the Gain friends icon > Create new.
2. Fill out the fields on the Gain friends ad screen.
3. Click Submit ad for review.
Note:
- Gain friends ads can only be created on and delivered from LINE Official Account Manager for web browsers, and not on the LINE Official Account app.
- Only verified accounts can use gain friends ads. See this Help article for details about account types.

You can configure the settings below for your ads.

Target settings:
Gender, age, areas, and interests

Budget settings:
Daily budget, Total budget (optional), and Cost limit per friend (optional)

Ad content:
Title, description, and an image

The process from Gain friends ad submission to delivery toggle
After you submit the content for a gain friends ad, the ad will be reviewed. As soon as your ad is approved, the ad will start running in LINE.

You can change the delivery target and budget for an ad after it has been approved, but you cannot change its content.

You can check an ad's review status from your list of ads.

From the Official Account Manager for PC web browsers:
1. Click Home > Gain friends Ads.
2. Select Submitted from the Gain friends ad screen.
3. A list of content for your submitted ads will appear, and you can check the status of each ad.

Suspending a gain friends ad toggle
You can suspend an active gain friends ad at any time.

To suspend a gain friends ad from the Official Account Manager for PC web browsers:
1. Click Home > Gain friends Ads.
2. Select Submitted from the Gain friends ad screen.
3. From the list, click the ad you want to suspend.
4. Click Suspend.

Checking a gain friends ad's delivery results toggle
You can see the current month's delivery results from the Gain friends ad screen.

To see how many friends you've added via ad delivery, follow the steps below.

From the Official Account Manager for PC web browsers:
1. Click Home > Gain friends Ads.
2. You can check the number of friends added on the Gain friends ad screen.

To see the delivery results for each ad, follow the steps below.

From the Official Account Manager for PC web browsers:
1. Click Home > Gain friends Ads.
2. Select Submitted from the Gain friends ad screen.
3. From the list, click the ad you want to check.
4. Click Insight.

Setting a budget for gain friends ads toggle
You need to set a daily budget for gain friends ads. The total budget and cost limit per friend can also be set optionally.

Daily budget:
This is your ad budget for one day of spending. The system may exceed this budget in some cases.

You can set a daily ad budget between JPY 2,000 and JPY 50,000.

Total budget:
This is the total amount of money that can be spent on an ad. Your ad will stop being shown once this budget is reached.

You can set a total budget between JPY 10,000 and JPY 200,000.

Cost limit per friend:
This lets you set how much you want to spend for each friend added. The frequency with which your ad appears will depend on how competitive your bid is.

You can set a bid amount between JPY 75 and JPY 5,000.

What is the budget limit/maximum spending limit for gain friends ads? toggle
There is a limit to how much you can spend on ads or set as a budget.

The maximum ad budget that can be set for a gain friends ad is JPY 200,000.
Note: For more information on budgets, see this Help article.

The total monthly spending limit for ads is JPY 200,000. If you exceed the JPY 200,000 spending limit, delivery of your ads will be suspended until the following month.

Billing schedule for gain friend ads toggle
The Gain friends Ads fee is calculated at the end of each month, and charged on or around the 10th day of the following month.
Note: The timing of these payments differs from that of LINE Official Account monthly fees, which are paid in advance at the beginning of each month.

Checking your gain friends ads payment history toggle
You can check your scheduled monthly fee and payment history up to the previous month on LINE Official Account Manager for web browsers.

To check your scheduled monthly fee:
1. Click Settings > Dashboard under Activity and billing.
2. Under Billing schedule, check the Gain friends Ads fee.

To check your payment history up to the previous month:
1. Click Settings > Billing history under Activity and billing.
2. Check the Description column to find your past gain friends ads payments.
